The welsh were made to work hard for the win with just 3 first half penalties by Leigh half penny, before veteran centre Jamie Roberts went over for the first of Wales`s 2 tries, 10 mins into the second half. Before having to wait until there was only 3 minutes left on the clock, before Wales wing Alex Cuthbert went over in the corner,for the second try. Which was enough to comfortably see off the Italians 24- 03 . The only glitch on the Welsh record as a 3 point penalty from the boot of Mirco Bergomasco.
The Italians came to play a damage limitation exercise and their overall defencive work was immense. But the stamina and conditioning of the welsh shone through in the second half of the match.
Wales fly half Rhys Priestland stated that a improvement and a step up in performance would be required for their championship decider against France. Whilst George North is confident that Wales’ Grand Slam-chasing squad can sidestep the external hype and hysteria that will surround their every move this week.
The welsh side are the only unbeaten team left in the championship. having already secured the Triple crown, having already beaten Ireland , Scotland & then England before Yesterdays match. They play France at home at the Millanium stadium, Cardiff Next Saturday K.O 14:45

As for Wales deserving the Championship, they’ve taken their opportunities and IMO they do deserve the Championship. The hallmark of a good team is to grab things that come your way even that you may not exactly be playing at your best and Wales have done exactly that.
C`mon Wales? All the pubs that have not closed down yet, will run dry in the Valleys This weekend If we manage to pull it off… It`s France & that means Pay back time for world cup semi final . Now that France are out of the running to win the championship. Let`s hope france come to Cardiff wanting to Play a loose exciting brand of fast running Rugby.
